I dont know if you already heard of the European Console League. It is
an offline event in Liverpool, that will be held form the 29.07 until
the 01.08. It features Halo3,MW2,FIFA,SFIV and Gears of War with a total
prizemoney of £25000.

It is held in the BT Convention Center/ECHO Arena in Liverpool. There
will be players and teams from all around the World, maybe you too ?

The MW2 tournement will be played as 4v4 and on a closed connection.
That means, all players have internet access and the matches are via the
internet, that everyone can use create a class and a lobby is
available.

The Rules are RandomGen with CTF,Demo,SnD,Demo,CTF in a BO5. You just
need to bring your Controller,Harddrive and your Headset. But their is
also a BringYourOwnContent area, so if you want to play the whole
weeken, just bring your Xbox + Monitor with Games and enjoy it.

The whole venue will be full of partners and sponsors who advertise
their stuff. Free Drinks like RedBull and free food in form of
Hamburgers.

The Event is hosted from Friday until Sunday. So it is better if you're
outside of England, to arrive on Thursday and go on Monday.

You think it will be expensive ? No, we can give you the best prizes on
flights and hotels. We can create an individual estimate for your team,
that shows what you have to pay per person to attend the event and sleep
in a good hotel.

The event aims for 64 Teams across MW2 and will feature the best of the
World, yes the World, world class teams from the USA, in form of EnvyUS
or FeaR are in attendence.
